In fact, I knit far more socks than sleeves, but once a pretentious Eng Lit student always a pretentious Eng Lit student.

  2. Hi, I get depressed too! And I’ve battled and puzzled and struggled and wondered with it for thirty years and I still don’t know why it happens. And I have chronic fatigue, too. So when I’m well enough, I knit, or spin, or do a bit of fine crochet, and if I’m bionic, I weave. Spinning and knitting are absorbing and soothing and I feel productive, which is a big plus when it seems that most of my life has flowed downriver without achieving anything particularly positive… So glad you “came out”, as the Americans say, and you are not alone and thank you for reminding me that I am not, either.
