Mondays in February are truly evil. Today wasn’t a particularly bad day, but it has still left me shattered and wishing for things I can’t have, like a cat and a glass of wine. Sadly, circumstances being what they are* tea and knitting have to suffice.

Meanwhile I have very nearly finished the latest pair of socks for T and am going to need a new bus-knitting project for tomorrow. Based on what yarn I actually have wound and my total lack of inclination to get the ball winder and swift out tonight, it’s either going to be more socks for T, or a hat for me. But which one? T has had several pairs of socks lately, but I’ve also made myself two hats already this winter…but then yarn I’m planning to use for this one is quite similar colours to the Glasgow School Mitts Roobeedoo made me, and none of my existing hats go with them, so perhaps it should be that…

I’m sorry, I probably didn’t help with the cat craving with my moping on LJ, I didn’t mean to spread the misery
Lovely outfit BTW. I need to wind more yarn too, I only have 1 thumb left of my long overdue present knitting. I’m eyeing up a swift…
That’s OK, I was feeling mopy and wanting a pet of some kind before that
A swift and ball winder are very good things to have, though I still end up in situations like this where I find myself about to run out of knitting on a weeknight with nothing wound. That’s just lack of planning and forethought, though!
At least you have an owl, looks good if I say so my self.
It is an extremely fine owl!
I really like that dress. Is it knitted?
It is. The label says it was originally Per Una, but I found it in a charity shop a few years ago and I do love it.
